The Tuckahoe Youth Association was founded in 1959 and provides roughly 600 kids each year with an organized, first class Baseball/Softball program.
TYA is a chartered Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Baseball/Softball Program for children ages 4-16 who live in Tuckahoe, Eastchester and Bronxville, New York.
TYA has 7 Divisions:
Majors Baseball for 11 and 12 year olds, Minors Baseball for 9 and 10 year olds, Youth Baseball 8 year olds, Rookies Baseball for 6 and 7 year olds, T-ball for 4 & 5 year olds, Major League Girls Softball for 11- 16 year olds and Minor League Girls Softball for 8- 10 year olds.
In addition to the divisions noted above, TYA has 8U - 16U spring, summer and fall baseball travel teams. This in addition to the regular season schedules. In order to participate in these programs players must be registered for the TYA recreational program during the season with the exception of the 13U -16U teams. The cost of the travel programs is in addition to the regular season registration fees.
The TYA "regular" season begins in mid-April and runs until the end of June. At the close of the regular season, TYA travel teams continue to compete in the Babe Ruth (Cal Ripken Division) District, State and Regional tournaments and the 12U Supervisors Cup. During the season TYA also competes in various local spring, summer and fall Leagues throughout Westchester and Putnam County.
Registration begins in November and December of each year. Roster space is limited and all divisions are populated on a "first come basis". All registrations are processed via our website.
Our home field is Labriola Field, Burnham Rd. in Eastchester. In addition to Labriola Field we have access to Cottle Field, Chester Heights Field and Immaculate Conception Field for practices as well. Throughout the season we also schedule games at Haindl Field in Eastchester.
